ICTSI Buys Two Dry-Bulk Terminals at Brazil's Aratu Port

International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI), through its ICTSI Americas subsidiary, signed an agreement on July 23 to acquire 100% of the holding company that controls the ATU12 and ATU18 terminals at Aratu Port in Bahia, northeastern Brazil.

The two adjacent terminals mainly handle imports and exports of agricultural products and operate under long-term public lease agreements. They have recently completed a modernisation and expansion programme to support the region's growing agricultural cargo volumes.

ICTSI said the deal expands its Brazilian footprint and strengthens its role in the country's strategically important agricultural trade, adding dry-bulk capacity alongside its established container-terminal network.
